Abridged hisotry of the Carnival Cruise Line

Originally founded in 1972 the initially ailing cruise line is now one of ten cruise brands owned and operated by the Carnival Corporation & plc. accounting on its own for over 20% of the worldwide market share and is considered the most popular cruise brand in North America. Pioneered on the concept of shorter, less expensive cruises, the line’s ships are known for their Las Vegas-style decor offering a wide range of activities designed to foster fun and memorable vacation experiences providing year-round Caribbean cruises while operating seasonally in Europe, Alaska, New England, Canada, Bermuda, Hawaii, Mexican Riviera, and the Panama Canal catering to a wide demographic. Continuing to ensure their representation in almost every segment of the cruise industry Carnival announced back in October 2012 that they would be building a brand new class of ship expected to have a passenger capacity of 4000 scheduled for delivery in the winter of 2016.
