Wednesday astronaut Chris Hadfield blasted off in the Russian Soyuz capsule from the Baikonur Cosmodrome, Kazakhstan for his third mission to space. While the trip to space isn’t anything unusual for the Canadian astronaut, this time is different. In addition to the to the multitude of experiments he’ll be involved in, astronaut Chris Hadfield will be assuming command of the International Space Station during the second half of his five-month stay, a first for Canadians.
