While the majority of our time was spent in the Magic Kingdom, we did manage to swing by Epcot on our last day there, and were treated to this year’s International Flower & Garden Festival.
Presented by HGTV, the festival boasts a dazzling array of Disney characters brought to life as floral and garden arrangements. And is certainly worth a look, as they’ve done an amazing job realizing so many of our favorite characters new and old.
Bambi and friends can be found in the butterfly enclosure over by the Future World West character spot (number six on the Epcot park map).
Peter Pan, Captain Hook, and the Crocodile can be found on the central bridge leading over to the Showcase Plaza.
Nearby which you can find the fairy enclosure for Tinkerbelle and her friends.
Mickey and gang can be found over by Mission: Space on the way to the Universe of Energy by the Festival Centre.
The festival is unfortunately only there until May 20, so if you’re planning on visiting Disney World before then, seriously consider making your way over to Epcot for a day. Just remember to take a hat – despite my thoughts that day – there’s relatively little cover outdoors at Epcot, and the sun really does beat down on you.
And in addition to the brilliant displays, HGTV designers and the Epcot’s gardening experts are on hand with their tips on everything from putting in your first garden, to dressing up your home’s curb appeal.
